With 4.5 acres of indoor gardens, 1,400 guest rooms and 400,000 square feet of meeting space, it is essential that guests at Gaylord Palms be given a clear sense of direction. Creating a signage program requires a comprehensive understanding about how people move through space, so Lorenc+Yoo Design carefully studied the resort’s design and visitor behavior before considering any visual details. Creative design goes hand-in hand with effective wayfinding, and Lorenc+Yoo Design used this concept to design the central visual motif for the signage: a compass. The directional signage Lorenc+Yoo Design created subtly directs visitors without distracting them from the resort’s various attractions.
