Studio Tour

Lorenc+Yoo Design, now located in the historic district of Roswell, Georgia, stands opposite a park and close to a 300-acre national forest where staff members often hike in the morning before work. The studio resides in a renovated house built for mill workers around 1900, which was raised and expanded with a “camelback” addition at the rear. The design character of the interior is “Mill House Modern” combining attributes of the existing historic structure with the firm’s penchant for modernism. Floor and roof beams are left exposed. Primarily, horizontal plank walls were used in lieu of drywall, and hardwood planks grace the floor.
