Lorenc+Yoo Design created an elegant minimalist aesthetic for the City of Orlando, incorporating both classical and modern antecedents for a 400 acre mixed-use development called Millenia. The visual vocabulary uses tapered columns with translucent glass lanterns set atop massive stone bases. These different scaled spires are combined with varying proportioned sign plates and bases to create a cohesive system of hierarchical, and appropriate communicative elements. This simple and bold system creates a memorable sense of place, a threshold to the city, and clear sense of arrival to the development.
